The BTC maintains a library of materials related to triathlon and multisport. The library was started at the beginning of 2006, and has been growing ever since. One of the benefits of BTC membership is access to this library. The formal policy contains all of the details of the library, while the highlights are as follows:
The BTC will periodically allocate funds to purchase materials for the library. Club members can submit requests to the librarian for materials that they would like to see added to the library. Requests from members who have volunteered to help with club events and activities are given the highest priority.
The library glady accepts donated materials from members who have things that they would like to contribute to the library, for others to be able to use. Of course, all donated materials must be originals, and not copies.
BTC members may borrow an item from the library for 2 weeks. The item may be kept for an additional two weeks, provided there aren't any other members that are waiting for it.
Materials that are not returned to the library on time will result in late fees, and ultimately suspension of the borrower's BTC membership. Refer to the formal policy for details.
The BTC librarian is responsible for storing all materials, keeping track of their location, and coordinating member requests. It is up to the library patron and the librarian to make arrangements for the removal and return of library materials. Options include in-person exchanges and shipment via mail.
Please contact the librarian via email if you would like to borrow an item from the library, donate an item to the library, submit a request for an item that you would like to see added to the library, or if you have any other questions regarding the library service in general.
