Welcome to the Buffalo Triathlon Club (BTC)!
The BTC was founded in January of 1997, in Buffalo, New York, and has been growing ever since. By 2011 we had more than 400 members of various athletic abilities and levels, and by the end of 2013 we had more than 550! The club membership interests represent full & half Ironman, Olympic, Sprint, Duathlon racing and training, as well as members who just enjoy swimming, biking, or running and everything in between.
The goal of the BTC is to promote multisports (triathlon, duathlon, etc), and bring people together for training, racing, and fun! Whether you are a veteran of many races, or someone who is just thinking about trying one, this club is for you! The BTC is open to anyone wishing to join and abide by our club by-laws. We have members of all ages and skill levels, and advanced club members are always eager to help out those that are new to the sport. The BTC is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, and contributes generously to various charities throughout the year. Charities below represent some of the organizations the club has donated to recently.
If you really want to see some BTC history, check out our newsletter archive that goes all the way back to 1999! A lot has changed since then! We also have thousands of BTC pictures.
Or, if you're more interested in the legal nuts and bolts of the BTC, you are welcome to read our club by-laws.
